Not every chapter is an ending; our story is still being told.

In retail as in life, the only thing more constant than change is the community we create along the way. Growth requires hard choices. It has been 7 years that we have occupied the 80+ year old space at 424 W. Main Street in Brighton. It was a dream come to life as I moved from NYC to Michigan. If not now, then when, if not me, then who? I wanted to shake up the stale beauty industry and bring a little bit of my world back to the Midwest.
Our 650 sq ft space saw a grand opening, the arrival of our signature couch, wall paper and a brick wall, lots of new brands, an amazing crew of dynamic women, even more amazing clients, a pandemic, a street renovation, and a recession. In our time together, we greeted each one of you as a friend and consider many of you family.
We said hello to opportunity in Ann Arbor, and said goodbye to a trusted colleague as she moved on and got married. We had laughs at Ladies Nights, we disrupted the status quo, we threw an epic Gilmore Girls party, we followed our intuition, and we joined in your celebrations. And in every space that opened up, from a brand we were replacing to staff member changes, someone else walked in and filled the space: a new voice, a new talent, a new spark.
As we say goodbye to Brighton, we are embracing more of our Ann Arbor shop and spa. Our website will continue to grow as will our assortment and ability to serve you. We welcome you to come and visit us in Ann Arbor but also shop locally by shopping our online store and choosing local pick up – which will be via The Coral Sash. Or just let us ship it to you.
We will continue to put our all into what we do. I am grateful this tiny space we shared with you gave us the bell jar to start our seedling business and create a community we hope is permanent. It was lightning in a bottle! Not every chapter is an ending; our story is still being told.
