Pumice, a fine powder from lava stones formed from the magma of Strombolian volcanoes, provides a gentle yet physical exfoliation, removing dead skin cells, daily grime and dirt from skin. Lactobionic Acid
Derived from plant extracts, lactobionic acid, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA), is a mild exfoliant that smoothes and resurfaces without causing irritation or redness, making it suitable for all skin types, even for those with sensitive skin. This is because PHA acids have a larger molecular size, meaning they exfoliate much more gently than AHA’s, as well as not increasing the skins sensitivity to sun. Through exfoliation, cellular turnover is increased for a fresher, more even toned complexion. Lactobionic acid is also a strong humectant, as it has the ability to attract and retain moisture within the skin.
