About Us

THOUGHTFUL INDIVIDUAL BEAUTIFUL

London Beauty is the fashion experience brought to cosmetics. Beauty should be fun because it is a reflection of our individuality. London Beauty likes to think she is your cool older sister. We are one part rock star, one part hippie chick. We sing into our hairbrushes and dance when no one is looking. We take care of our skin and want the best ingredients but also love red lipstick and a smokey eye. We want it all. The brands we curate here are aspirational and accessible. There are basics in skincare and color but also brands exploding in the indie beauty movement that are organic, local, cruelty-free, and effective.

We haven’t forgotten our London Beauty Blokes either. We realize the men in our lives raid our beauty drawer too. We have sourced some great brands that are unisex or for the guy who knows how to keep his skin ready for the next adventure.

Meet Our Founder

Kathleen London has brought a taste of the UK tothe Main Streets of Michigan — building upon years of retail industry experience to open London Beauty, a cheeky beauty space that allows customers to express and embrace their individuality through independently owned, cruelty-free makeup and skincare products.

Originally from Hudson, Ohio, Kathleen was born with big dreams and an innate love for beauty and fashion. She entered the world of high-end, luxury retail after moving to New York as a young adult, working as an executive in fashion and luxury retail. A few years in, Kathleen found herself uttering the phrase ‘I’d rather be selling lipstick’.

Kathleen soon realized that her true passion was for beauty — and for people. Throughout her career, she watched women, and herself, struggle with beauty and the intense pressure to look a certain way. She dreamed of creating a space for customers to explore beauty without those expectations, and with better choices.

From there, Kathleen found herself driving on the Main Street of Brighton, Michigan — where she discovered a tiny little gem with a ‘for rent’ sign. That gem would become the first London Beauty location — a posh, UK-inspired storefront that encapsulates everything Kathleen loves about beauty and retail.
